Where We Drill: the Ten-Parish Region

Baton Rouge, LA HDD service area — 10 component counties, principal and satellite cities — The the Capital Region service area — U.S. Census Bureau county boundaries; cities marked are where crews most often mobilize.

The service area is the OMB-defined Baton Rouge metro — East and West Baton Rouge, Ascension, Livingston, Iberville, Pointe Coupee, the Felicianas, St. Helena, and Assumption parishes. Parish pages below carry the local picture: the corridors, the two grounds, and the authorities whose permits govern crossings.

East Baton Rouge Parish

The capital parish: the bluff-top city, the university, and the north corridor's plants.

Ascension Parish

The boom parish: Gonzales and Prairieville's growth, and the corridor's expansion belt.

Livingston Parish

The eastern surge: Denham Springs to Walker, growth with flood memory.

The river-and-basin south: Plaquemine's corridor reach and the Atchafalaya edge.
